For appearing in the JAT a candidate must pass the 10+2 level examination of Assam Higher Secondary Education Council or its equivalent with English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in a single sitting, securing at least 50% marks in the aggregate in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The test comprises of three papers viz. Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of 100 marks each. The reservations of seats for different reserved categories are made as per Govt. rules.
